This year, Laurie has tutored 5 of my homeschool learners and she has gone above and beyond with each. I cannot tell you what a gift Laurie has been to my daughter. She was really struggling with math, and we both dreaded doing math together everyday. It was a constant source of stress in our homeschooling day. We signed up to do 2 days a week with Laurie, and very soon my daughter was loving math!! (And I was loving not having to help her with math). My daughter grew to love her time with Laurie and was so sad when the school year came to an end. I cannot recommend her enough!!

Math was a serious struggle in our home.  Other subjects came relatively easy to our sons, but math was an Achilles heel and led to significant stress and frustration for all of us (even the dog!). Laurie helped relieve that stress and made math tolerable (which for many of us is about the best it can be).  All three of our boys have benefitted from her patience and expertise in making difficult math concepts digestible. We highly recommend Laurie if math has become a household nemesis.

My son's understanding of algebra concepts improved tremendously after tutoring by Laurie. His stress levels decreased and he was able to do his best on exams. Mrs. Capalbo offers patient and proficient instruction that she tailored to fit our daughter's needs. She looked forward to each of her sessions and enjoyed a very accomplished year in Algebra 1. Laurie has taught my daughter Algebra II and Trigonometry the past two years. She is very experienced and knowledgeable. Laurie is able to discover my daughter's weaknesses and made them her strengths. My daughter not only got an A in the class, but got the highest grade in the class on her final exam! Laurie is definitely an asset to my daughter's academic team.
